Taka's ANA Mile Blog

In this blog, I'm going to write about earning lots of ANA miles using "Point Earning Websites"

How to Earn ANA Miles with Point Earning Websites (PEWs) - 4 (Shopping with ANA Card)

This post will describe how to earn ANA miles through making purchases with ANA card (credit card).

  1. What is ANA Card?
  2. Types of ANA Card
  3. Most Popular ANA Card
  4. Reward Point System of ANA Card
  5. Summary

1. What is ANA Card?

ANA card refers to a credit card issued by ANA together with JCB or Sumitomo Mitsui Credit Card Company. ANA card is a credit card, so depending on your credit card usage history so far, it might be difficult for you to get ANA card.

2. Types of ANA Card

There're many varieties of ANA card, so I show you a list showing each of them.

  • ANA JCB Cards (Regular / Wide / Wide Gold / ZERO / Sora-Chika / Premium)
  • ANA Visa / Master Cards (Regular / Wide / Wide Gold / VISA Suica / TOKYU POINT ClubQ PASMO Master / Premium)
  • ANA AMEX (Regular / Gold / Premium)
  • ANA Diners (Regular / Premium)

For details, please visit the official website.

3. Most Popular ANA Card

Among these vast number of card types, ANA Visa Wide Gold Card is the most popular among ANA Milers (people who earn ANA miles). There are three reasons.

First, the annual fee of ANA Visa Wide Gold Card (15,150 Yen) can be reduced to 10,260 by signing up for "Self-Paced Revolving Program" and for Online Card Usage Program. Self-Paced Revolving Program is a program where the card user can decide how much money to pay for his/her card usage. If you're short of money this month but will be able to pay back the rest of the bill next month, for instance, you can use Self-Paced Revolving Program and choose the amount of money to pay this month. You need to keep in mind, however, that there will be 15%/Year fee for the amount of money unpaid. Online Card Usage Program allows you to check your card usage and bills for each month online, and you won't receive the information on paper anymore after signing up for this program.

Second, ANA Visa Wide Gold Card is a gold card with a lot of benefits, including airport lounge service, travel insurance, and 2,000 bonus ANA miles every year. Details about these benefits can be found on the official website (in Japanese text only).

www.smbc-card.com

Third, ANA Visa Wide Gold Card helps you earn more ANA miles. ANA gold cards will increase your Card Mileage Accural Rate from 10% (Regular Card) to 25%. Furthermore, when you convert your credit card point from JCB or Visa / Master to ANA miles, there's no Redemption Handling Fee, whereas regular cards will charge you 5,400 Yen (JCB) and 6,480 Yen (Visa / Master) per year.

4. Reward Point System of ANA Card

When you make purchases with your ANA card, you will get 1 Okidoki Point (JCB) or World Present Point (Visa / Master) per every 1,000 Yen monthly. 1 Okidoki / World Present Points can be converted into 10 ANA miles, so the point rate is 1%. For example, if you spend 20,000 Yen this month, you'll earn 20 Okidoki / World Present Points (= 200 ANA miles).

5. Summary

This article described how to earn ANA miles by making purchases with your ANA credit card. The amount of ANA miles you can earn annually using this method will depend on how much money you spend with your ANA card. For this reason, using Point Earning Websites (PEWs) will give you more ANA miles in a short amount of time. Keep in mind that shopping with ANA card is just a supplementary way to earn ANA miles in your daily life. Thank you for reading!

How to Earn ANA Miles with Point Earning Websites (PEWs) - 3 (Online Shopping)

In this post, I'll describe how to earn points on Point Earning Websites (PEWs) on daily shopping.

  1. Online Shopping via Hapitas / Point Income
  2. Advantage of Using Hapitas / Point Income
  3. Disadvantages of Online Shopping
  4. Summary

1. Online Shopping via Hapitas / Point Income

For your everyday life, where do you go for shopping? Supermarkets near your house? Convenience stores on your way home from work? If you care about earning points and converting these points into ANA miles, shopping online is usually a better option. For most online shops, including Yahoo! Japan, Rakuten, and Ieon Internet Supermarket, you can find the links on Points Earning Websites (PEWs). I recommend you use Hapitas or Point Income for shopping online.

2.  Advantage of Using Hapitas / Point Income

I recommend using Hapitas or Point Income for your online shopping for one simple reason. These two websites will guarantee that you will get points after you use the ads on these websites for online shopping. This system can only be found in these two websites, and Moppy doesn't have one.

3.  Disadvantages of Online Shopping

If you can find what you want to buy on online shops at a lower price than that in a shop in your neighborhood, that'd be fantastic. However, the price for some items is actually higher on online shops than on physical shops in your town. For example, tissue paper box can be purchased for around 300 Yen at a grocery store near my house, while a similar product is sold for more than 450 Yen on online shops. Also, some online shops will chanrge you for shipping fee. These additional costs sometimes make it more attractive to go shopping at a local shop than to go online. When you want to buy something, make sure to check the price at your local store as well as that on an online shop, and then decide which shop to use.

4. Summary

In this article, I described how to earn points using ads for online shopping on PEWs, especially Hapitas and Point Income for their service of guaranteeing your points. Keep in mind, though, that online shopping sometimes ends up costing you more due to the shipping fee and the  price. Before shopping online, it's a good idea to check the price of the same product at your local store. Thank you for reading!

How to Earn ANA Miles with Point Earning Websites (PEWs) - 2 (Credit Cards)

In this article, I'll write about another high-paying ads on Point Earning Websites (PEWs), making credit cards.

  1. Making Credit Cards
  2. Conditions
  3. Recommended Frequency of Making New Credit Cards
  4. Summary

1. Making Credit Cards

If you make a credit cards, you can earn between 1,500 ~ 22,000 points, depending on which card you make. Higher-paying ads are usually Gold or Platinum Cards, which require you to pay high annual fees (around 10,000 Yen for Gold Cards and 25,000 ~ 50,000 Yen for Platinum Cards).

2. Conditions

Some ads will grant you points simply by making their credit cards, while others ask you to use a certain amount of money with the new credit card. For example, as of July 12th (Wed), 2017, you can earn 4,000 Moppy Points if you make Epos Card and use the card to make purchases of 1,000 Yen or more by the following month after the month in which the credit card was made. For example, if you make Epos Card on July 12th, you'll need to use 1,000 Yen or more before the end of August, in order to earn 4,000 Moppy Points.

3. Recommended Frequency of Making New Credit Cards

Making multiple credit cards in one month is not recommended. Credit card companies might suspect that you are short of money. Because of the nature of credit cards that allows people to make purchases without paying the amount before hand, making too many credit cards would decrease the chance of your getting your credit card(s).

4. Summary

In this article, I described how to use ads for making credit cards and some points to keep in mind when using these ads. Thank you for reading!

How to Earn ANA Miles with Point Earning Websites (PEWs) - 1 (FX Accounts)

In the previous post, I introduced to you some of the best Point Earning Websites (PEWs) that you can use to earn lots of ANA miles. In this article, I will write about one of the ways to earn points in PEWs.

  1. Ads for FX (Foreign Currency Exchage) Accounts
  2. Conditions
  3. Risks
  4. Summary

1. Ads for FX (Foreign Currency Exchage) Accounts

You will find lots of ads for FX (Foreign Currency Exchage) accounts on PEWs, including SBI FX, DMM.com FX, and so on. These ads usually offer around 10,000 ~ 15,000 points (= 15,000 Yen).

2. Conditions

In order to get these points, you need to take some actions. The conditions depend on each ad. For instance, the ad for SBI FX will give you 15,000 Moppy Points if you create the account and trade 1 unit of currency or more within 90 days after the registration of your account. This ad is the easiest among many FX ads. Most other ads require you to trade 10,000 units of currency, or still others require 500,000 units of currency trade.

3. Risks

Although ads for FX accounts sound exciting, there are many risks associated with trading FX (foreign currency exchange).

First, there's no gurantee that your deposit will increase as a result of trading. The currency rates are always flactuating, so there's a possibility that you'll earn lots of money and lost lots of money in a very short amount of time. If you want to minimize your loss, selling / purchasing a foreign currency immediately after purchasing / selling your position might be a good idea.

Second, FX companies make money from "split" (= transaction fees). Split refers to the difference in the amount at which you can buy / sell currency. The amount of split depend on each FX company. The smaller the split is, the lower the transaction fee is and the more money you can earn.

4. Summary

In this post, I introduced one of the most high-paying ads on PEWs, FX accounts. When you decide to trade, be mindful about the risks indicated above. I hope you'll earn lots of money and/or points through FX! Thank you for reading! See you next time!

How to Earn 216,000 ANA Miles in a Year

In this article, I'll describe how to earn the maximum of 216,000 ANA miles in a year.

  1. "Point Earning Websites" (PEW)
    1. Hapitas
    2. Moppy
    3. Point Income
  2. Turning Points into ANA Miles
    1. Sora-Chika Card (ANA To Me Card Pasmo JCB Card) and "Sora-Chika Route"
    2. Limit: 20,000 Metro Points = 18,000 ANA Miles / Month
  3. Summary

1. "Point Earning Websites" (PEW)

In modern Japan, there are many websites where you can earn "points." The "points" that you earned through playing games, issueing credit cards, opening an FX account, etc. can be converted into cash that can be transfered to your bank account in Japan or into other forms of virtual currency, including .money points, Amazon giftcard, iTunes giftcard, and so on.

These websites function in the following way. The advertisers, usually big companies that want to attract customers, ask Point Earning Websites to post their ads on their websites. In return, the advertisers will pay money (reward) to the Point Earning Websites (PEW) after people use their services or purchase their products through the ads on the Point Earning Websites. Finally, some of the money that these websites received from the advertisers will be paid to the users of the Point Earning Websites.

Keep in mind that these websites are all in Japanese and that some websites are not trustworthy. "Malicious" Point Earning Websites will pretend as if they will give you a large sum of reward, such as 10,000 Yen worth of iTunes giftcard, if you register some monthly-paied web services. In reality, though, they have no intention of paying you the reward. They will keep all the advertisement reward from the advertised companies to themselves.

Now, you might think that using Point Earning Websites isn't going to help you at all. It's too fast to reach the conclusion!! Let me introduce 3 Point Earning Websites that I have been using and I have earned money from.

1. Hapitas

   The first is Hapitas.

日々の生活にhappyをプラスする|ハピタス

This website is very popular among many Japanese people who earn ANA miles through the use of Point Earning Websites (These people are called "Land Milers" because they do not earn miles by taking flights but by using services on the land). One of the reasons for the popularity of this website is the system of reference system. If your friend becomes a member of Hapitas through the invitation from you, you will continue to get 10% ~ 40% of the points that your friend earns through Hapitas. If you register Hapitas through the invitation from me (by clicking the link above), you can get 30 points (= 30 Yen) immediately after registration.

2. Moppy

The second Point Earning Website that I recommend is Moppy.

モッピー!お金がたまるポイントサイト

This website sometimes features ads that pay you more than other Point Earning Websites. It's better to register several Point Earning Websites (PEWs), so that you can choose the ads across different PEWs that pay you the best.

3. Point Income

Finally, the third PEW is Point Income.

pointi.jp

I recommend registering Point Income for the same reason as for resistering Moppy. Different PEWs offer different amount of reward for users, so choosing the highest reward is always the wise option.

2. Turning Points into ANA Miles

Converting the points you earned through these PEWs is a little complicated. You need to take a few steps. All of these three PEWs allow you to convert the points you earned into .money point(s). Then, You can convert .money points into Metro Points. Finally, you will exchange Metro Points for ANA Miles. Here's the conversion route and rate:

1,000 Hapitas Points (= 1,000 Yen) → 1,000 .money Points → 1,000 Metro Points → 900 ANA Miles (If you have Sora-Chika Card)

 1.  Sora-Chika Card (ANA To Me Card Pasmo JCB Card) and "Sora-Chika Route"

As you saw the conversion rate above, you need to make a credit card, ANA To Me Card Pasmo JCB (aka. Sora-Chika Card). With this card, you can convert 1,000 Metro Points into 900 ANA miles. This rate is the highest in Japan as of now (July, 2017). Therefore, to earn lots of ANA Miles, you need to get Cora-Chika Card. The convertion route above is only valid if you have Sora-Chika Card, so the route is called "Sora-Chika Route."

 2. Limit: 20,000 Metro Points = 18,000 ANA Miles / Month

The Sora-Chika route has a limitation, however. You can only convert up to 20,000 Metro Points per month. This limitation is set by Tokyo Metro Company, and there's no loopholes found as yet.

If you continue to earn 20,000 Metro Points and convert the points to ANA miles monthly, you can earn 216,000 ANA Miles in a year (18,000 x 12 = 216,000).

3. Summary

In this article, I showed you the method to earn the maximum of 216,000 ANA miles in a year using Point Earning Websites (PEWs) and converting the points into ANA miles with Sora-Chika Card. I have just started to earn ANA miles last month (June, 2017), and I'm using this method, too. I hope you'll copy me and earn lots of ANA miles for your flights!

Thank you very much for reading again!

Introduction to Mileage in English

Welcome to my blog!

In this article, I'm going to talk about what I'm going to write about in this blog.

  1. Topic of This Blog and Motivation
  2. Self-Introduction
  3. Summary

1. Topic of This Blog and Motivation (1)

In this blog, I'm going to write about articles related to earning a lot of ANA miles (maximim of 216,000 ANA miles) in a year in Japan. In my next post, I'm planning to explain about this method in great detail.

The methods of earning more than 180,000 ANA miles in a year has been discussed and shared online by many Japanese bloggers in Japanese. These methods include flying with ANA on a daily basis, using credit cards issued by ANA, and using "Point Earning Websites" (More explanations about each of these will be provided in my next post). However, I haven't seen many blogs on this topic in English.

2. Self-Introduction and Motivation (2)

I myself am a Japanese teacher of English (aka. JTE) living in Japan. Thank to my high school English lessons conduced pretty much in all English, I was really trained to think in English and express my ideas in English through writing as well as speaking. As a result, my identity is more American than Japanese (even though my nationality is Japanese).

When I decided to write blogs, I was wondering how I can contribute to my readers using the knowledge and experience that I have. The answer that I came up with was to write about how to earn lots of ANA miles (or pocket money) in English language.

I have just become interested in earning ANA miles last month (June, 2017). I read many blogs on earning lots of ANA miles and using these miles to fly with ANA in Business Class and / or obtaining SFC Card (Super Flyer's Card - a kind of credit card issued by ANA which grants the card holder elite membership status). Through reading these blogs, I became interested in earning ANA miles and flying on the airplanes in Business Class.

I hope writing about ANA miles in English will be helpful for my readers, including those who come from other countries and are living in Japan for a long time and interested in taking flights for free or at a discounted price and those who want to introduce how to earn ANA miles to others who don't understand Japanese.

3. Summary

In summary, what I'm going to write about in this blog is earning lots of ANA miles. I'm a very busy teacher working in Japan, so posting articles everyday might be very difficult. Still, I hope to continue giving you updates on earning a lot of ANA miles using Japanese "Point Earming Websites" on a weekly basis, to say the least. Thank you so much for reading my post, and I hope you'll come back here for new posts!
